Melissa Elizondo

Owner & Director

What is your background and how long have you been doing this kind of work?
I was in real estate for over a decade and then got into marketing in 2016.

Who is someone you admire and why?
Right now I’m on a Will Smith kick. I read his biography recently and it was THE. BEST. BOOK. I. HAVE. EVER. READ. In my life. IN MY LIFE. I appreciated his transparency, humor, and definitely the vulnerability to put it all out there. But I loved his lessons along the journey as well. He’s made it into the Sage mode of life in my opinion.

Do you have any skills or talents that most people don’t know about?
I can sing Cher “Turn back time” and sound almost just like her. Does that count? Other than that I can do jigsaw puzzles pretty quickly. I even impress myself.

Who is your dream client?
Will Smith! Lol Just kidding (unless it’s an option). I would love to take on a plus-size clothing brand as a client.

If you could transport yourself to any place on the planet, where would you go?
I’ve got so many places I want to see in this world. I would start with visiting my missionary friend down in Peru. Then go to Paris. Italy. Hawaii.

When you were 10 years old, what did you want to do when you were all grown up?
I wanted to be either an artist or a veterinarian.

What are you happiest doing when you’re not working?
I love hanging out with my grandson, reading a good book, doing a jigsaw puzzle, doing a crossword puzzle. Or hanging out at Barnes and Noble.

What is your personal motto or favorite quote?
Hebrews 11:1 “Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see”

And this by Muhammad Ali

"Impossible is just a big word thrown around by small men who find it easier to live in the world they've been given than to explore the power they have to change it. Impossible is not a fact. It's an opinion. Impossible is not a declaration. It's a dare. Impossible is potential. Impossible is temporary. Impossible is nothing."

Side note – I love the story of Ali and him convincing Will Smith to play him in the movie after he said no.

Lori Krouskos

Senior Account Manager

What is your background and how long have you been doing this kind of work?

I started out my career in the cosmetics industry with a desire to provide women self-confidence and empowerment, working in management roles for the Cosmetics industry from 1989-1999, for prestige brands such as Biotherm, Estee Lauder & Lancôme.
I got into the Banking industry in 1999 for bankers’ hours. As a single mom I was needing to take a break from traveling and long retail hours. The funny thing was I never experienced bankers’ hours. I was Managing a Branch after 6 months working as a Personal Banker. The good news is I did get to take a break from traveling for a couple of years.

My skills that were transferable; profiling, relationship building, entrepreneur efforts and strong sales ability. The skills that I learned and carry into my career today are being a community impactor, fostering partnerships with businesses and nonprofits and being a master networker (I never meet a stranger. Something to love or dislike about me lol)

I have spent the last 20+ years in Sales & Marketing leadership roles in Banking, Financial Services, B2B, and Nonprofit. Consulting business owners, strategic planning, managing client relationships, business development, public relations, fund raising, event planning and execution.

Who is someone you admire and why?

My father. With his own professional background in sales leadership, he consistently emphasized the importance of integrity, genuine interest in helping people, continued learning and personal growth. In the later years, his inspiration only increased as he maintained a steadfast walk with Christ as well as an unwavering courage and determination as he battled cancer.

Some form of exercise from circuit training, yoga, and long walks.

I am blessed to be living near my beautiful daughter, her husband, and my awesome grandchildren that are in Cibolo as well as my mom is in a group home in San Antonio.

Ending the day with my knuckle head puppies on the sofa watching tv and playing with them and their toys.

In the hard times and trials, I can allow it to be a waste and be angry and bitter and feel sorry for myself or I can purpose that I will use it to bring Him glory and gold for His kingdom.
